Giant Trance X – Smooth Climbing, Confident Descents, Trail-Ready Performance

Float up technical climbs and charge chunky descents with the Giant Trance X, a full-composite trail mountain bike built for speed, control, and versatility. With 140mm of smooth Maestro rear suspension, adjustable geometry, and optional mixed wheel setups, the Trance X delivers precision handling on technical singletrack, steep climbs, and aggressive downhill trails.

Whether you’re tackling rock gardens, rooty climbs, or challenging switchbacks, this full-suspension trail bike adapts to the terrain and your riding style, offering confidence at every turn.

Key Performance Features

More Suspension Travel for Rough Trails

The updated Maestro rear suspension increases travel from 135mm to 140mm, providing a longer, smoother stroke for better control over technical terrain. The trunnion-mount rear shock paired with an Advanced Forged Composite rocker arm adds stiffness while keeping the chassis lightweight. Paired with a 150mm travel front fork, the Trance X offers maximum confidence and traction on climbs, descents, and technical singletrack trails.

Adjustable Trail Geometry

Fine-tune the bike for your riding style with a three-position Maestro flip chip. The high setting increases ground clearance for technical sections, the low setting slacks the head angle and lowers the bottom bracket for high-speed stability, and the middle position provides a neutral balance of agility and control. A headset flip chip adds 10mm of reach adjustment, letting you customize fit and handling for your preferred riding style.

Rear Wheel Options for Agility or Stability

All Trance X models come with 29-inch front and rear wheels for optimal stability, rollover, and speed. Riders can also switch to a mixed “mullet” setup with a 27.5-inch rear wheel, creating a more agile, snappy feel and increasing saddle-to-tire clearance. This configuration is ideal for steep, technical terrain, tight corners, and playful trail riding.

The most accurate way to determine any bike’s weight is to have your local dealer weigh it for you.
