Giant Trance X – Smooth Climbing, Controlled Descents, Trail-Ready Performance

Float up technical climbs and charge chunky descents with the Giant Trance X, an all-new full-composite trail mountain bike engineered for versatility, speed, and confidence on technical singletrack. With 140mm of Maestro rear suspension, adjustable geometry, and optional mixed wheel setups, the Trance X adapts to any trail, from steep, rocky ascents to aggressive downhill lines.

Whether you’re chasing flowy singletrack or tackling technical black-diamond terrain, the Trance X delivers the perfect balance of stability, agility, and playful handling.

Key Performance Factors

More Travel for Rugged Trails

The all-new Maestro rear suspension offers 140mm of smooth, active travel, adding 5mm over the previous generation for enhanced control on rough trails. A trunnion-mount rear shock paired with an Advanced Forged Composite rocker arm delivers a longer stroke, improved sensitivity, and increased chassis stiffness. The rear suspension is complemented by a 150mm travel fork, providing confidence and control on technical climbs and chunky descents alike.

Adjustable Trail Geometry

Fine-tune the Trance X to match terrain and riding style with a three-position Maestro flip chip. The high setting increases ground clearance for technical singletrack, while the low setting slacks the head angle and lowers the bottom bracket for stable, high-speed handling. The neutral middle position balances stability and responsiveness. A headset flip chip adds 10mm of reach adjustment, allowing riders to dial in the perfect fit.

Rear Wheel Options for Maximum Control

All models come stock with 29-inch front and rear wheels for optimal speed, rollover, and stability. Riders can use the flip chip to switch to a mixed “mullet” setup with a 27.5-inch rear wheel, providing a snappier, more agile feel and increased saddle-to-tire clearance. This setup is ideal for technical terrain, steep climbs, and aggressive cornering.

  • Weight
The most accurate way to determine any bike’s weight is to have your local dealer weigh it for you. Many brands strive to list the lowest possible weight, but in reality weight can vary based on size, finish, hardware and accessories. All our bikes are designed for best-in-class weight and ride quality.
